What is an EDS Advocate?
EDS Health Advocates serve as trusted guides and advocates, helping patients navigate the complexities of the healthcare system. They work to ensure patients receive appropriate evaluations, coordinated care, and access to services and resources that support the diagnosis and management of Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (EDS) and its associated symptoms.

What to expect...
Your journey begins with a comprehensive intake evaluation designed specifically for individuals with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (EDS) and hypermobility disorders. During this one-on-one session, a certified Pilates instructor will review your medical history, discuss your symptoms, goals, and daily challenges, and perform a gentle movement assessment to evaluate posture, alignment, breathing patterns, core stability, balance, and joint mobility. This evaluation helps identify movement patterns that may contribute to pain, instability, or fatigue while ensuring exercises are tailored to your unique needs. Together, you'll develop a personalized Pilates plan focused on improving stability, body awareness, strength, and confidence while respecting the limitations of EDS and promoting safe, sustainable movement.
